Description of Services: Adult Day Program for adults living with the effects of an acquired brain injury(ABI)

Clients and staff work together to build a sense of community and identify enjoyable, meaningful activities that provide clients with the opportunity to continue their recovery and improve their personal wellness

Clients set goals that will assist them to improve their skills in activities of daily living, interpersonal skills, and personal independence

Personal care supports are provided to Clients of Gateway to Connections (assistance with feeding, toileting, and transferring) * Respite for caregivers, whom are provided with opportunities to learn effective strategies that will be of assistance in supporting their loved one, as well as coping strategies for themselves
Requirements
Fees: Free * sliding scale for people with motor vehicle insurance settlements with maximum of $150/day or $80/half day
Eligibility - Population(s) Served: Adult 18 years and older living with the effects of an acquired brain injury (including stroke) who require support with personal care or who require moderate to significant level of support with activities of daily living
