Program: First Link Learning Series and Social Work Support
Organization: Alzheimer Society London and Middlesex
Description of Services: One-on-one and group supports for people with Alzheimer's disease and other related dementias and their families and care partners

First Link Learning Series - Regulated health professionals provide a comprehensive overview of dementia, coping strategies, resources and support systems * participants are offered an opportunity to share and connect with others embarking on the same journey

Social Work Support - Registered Social Workers provide in-office or in-home assessments and work with all those involved to develop an individualized response to needs * may include individual and family counseling, advocacy and referral to community resources

Support Groups - Monthly drop-in support groups for care partners and those in the early stages of dementia * facilitated by Registered Social Workers * groups allow clients opportunities to share, support and learn from one another 

Memory Cafe London, Memory Cafe Newbury - Informal meetings for purpose of mutual engagement, fellowship, recreation and support * open to members of public and registered clients
