Program: Stand Up Program for Seniors
Organization: Saint Elizabeth Health Care - Hamilton, Niagara, Haldimand-Norfolk, Brant, and Burlington
Description of Services: A program that offers group exercise training designed to prevent falls. Offered over a 12-week period, there is 1 hour of exercise two times a week and a half hour educational discussion once each week. A maximum of 20 seniors register and participate, and graduates may transition to other community exercise programs.

Provided by Saint Elizabeth Health Care in partnership with the HNHB LHIN across regions of Hamilton and Niagara, Haldimand, Norfolk, and Brant counties, and the city of Burlington.

Programs run in different locations across the service area at the same time and are held throughout the year.

Eligibility - Population(s) Served: Age 55 years and older; Seniors who need assistance to maintain and enhance their physical activity, particularly if isolated and homebound * Participants must be able to walk, with or without a cane or walker
